Christmas Parades

Kimberling City - Branson

Early December

A performance at the 35th year celebration of the Ozarks Writers League - Hollister

From their very first performance in 2008 the Possums have been exceedingly popular.  Troupe members are selected from the very best fiddlers at camp, then return for a second three day camp.

Since their inception, the Possums have averaged one performance each month at churches, festivals, senior citizen centers, and at Branson pre-shows.  Highlights of performances include at Silver Dollar City, the inauguration of a Missouri governor, the Shriner's Childrens Hospital in St. Louis, at the fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, and twice during the Christmas season at the White House in Washington, D.C.

They have succeeded because of the interest and support of parents, old-time master musicians, the board of directors of Ozark Mountain Music, and contributions from the Ozark Heritage Foundation, the Missouri Arts Council, and other supporting individuals.

Performances by the Possums help defray the costs of camp.  To learn more about or book the Possum Holler Fiddlers, contact Karlene McGill, director of Ozark Mountain Music, P. O Box 36, Reeds Spring, Mo 65737 or at 417-230-5530.
