Traditional Fiddle

Penny Whistle and Guitar

2017 marks the tenth annual Ozark fiddle camp.  Young fiddlers, between the ages of 11 and 17, of any skill level, are invited to attend.

This year 's camp will be held in Branson, Missouri.

When the Scots settled much of the rugged and isolated Ozark Mountains in the early 1800's they brought with them the fiddle--a lightweight instrument suitable for dancing, gospel music at church, or relaxing around the fireplace at night.      Much of this music continues today to delight musicians and audience members as they listen to both the old tunes originating centuries ago and new tunes, following in this old tradition.  Ozark Mountain Music pairs old-time music instructors with young musicians.
